Located on the island Daenholm, this organisation is a branch of the Stralsund Museum of Local History. Huge open-air exhibitions show the original naval helicopter MI 8T, the torpedo boat Projekt 131 (“Libelle”), the remote controlled sweeping drone “Seekuh” and a World War II barge. By visiting the first floor of the building you can find out more about the military and maritime history of Daenholm, the city of Stralsund and their surroundings. This is complemented by more than 200 items that were saved from sunken ships, historic compass roses and paintings, showing all kinds of German military speed boats.
